New Tafsīr Class Announcement!

At the Foot of the Throne: A Study of Ayat al-Kursi

Yesterday, I launched my next tafsir class, At the Foot of the Throne: A Study of Ayat al-Kursi. Described in hadith as the greatest verse in the Qur’an, Ayat al-Kursi contains oceans of meaning. It speaks of Allah’s Living Presence as al-Hayy, al-Qayyum, Allah’s Majestic Power, and Unbounded Knowledge.

I’m looking forward to us taking this walk “to the foot of the Throne”, to uncover its layers, commit it to memory, and live under its protection.

My hope for this course is as it was for the Surah Al-Mulk: Memorise, Reflect Transform Course I ran over Ramadan, which was more beautiful than I had imagined it could be. With 200 sisters from around the world, the support and care for one another started before the course even began, with the act of one sister pledging to sponsor another student. This one act, inspired others, and before long there were 15 more sponsored spaces made available. It was in this continued spirit of mutual help, assistance, kindness and upliftment that the next 30 days continued, alhamdulilah.

I hope that this new course too will carry this same spirit as we all strive to peel away at the layers of this mighty verse to know and embody its many wisdoms.
